DATE SET FOR 6TH ANNUAL PORTER WAGONER MEMORIAL ARTISTS & ANGLERS FISHING TOURNAMENT

Weigh-In Moved to Fontanel

(Nashville, Tennessee ...) Organizers of the Porter Wagoner Memorial Artists & Anglers Fishing Tournament have set Friday May 31, 2013 as the date for this year's sixth annual event. Country music artists and celebrities will again be paired with the top male and female professional bass anglers, as this year's tournament moves back to Old Hickory Lake.

This year's tournament will take place from 6:00 am to noon, and boats will launch from the beautiful and spacious Rockland Recreation Area in Hendersonville near the Old Hickory Dam. The weigh-in will be held on the beautiful grounds of Fontanel in White's Creek, and there will be live entertainment beginning at 11:00 am with the weigh-in scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

In addition, on Thursday, May 30 at 3:00 pm, there will be a formal dedication of "Porter's Pond" and "Beverly's Falls" at the 2013 Southern Living Idea House at Fontanel. "Beverly's Falls" is a beautiful waterfall at Porter's Pond generously sponsored by Gary and Beverly Yamamoto of Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits. Following the ceremony, the traditional pre-tournament Thursday Night Fishing Club party will be held in the Cafe Fontanella at 5:00 pm.
